Last Sunday a Navy Chaplain named Bob Marshall came to our service to preach and give me an award from the US Coast Guard. Bob is a Navy Captain and he serves as the Command Chaplain for the USCG Pacific Area. He is responsible for the ministry of chaplains who serve the Coast Guard from the Montana to Madagascar.
This past year I had the privilege of serving along side him. As I finished my duties, the Commander of the USCG Pacific Area, Vice Admiral M.K. Brown, gave me a USCG Commendation Medal as a thank you.
I want to say thank you to all of you for allowing me to serve God in this way.My ministry in the military is actually the ministry of Mayflower. Because of your support and encouragement, I am able to reach out with the love and grace of God to people who are eager to receive these blessings. These members of the military constantly remind me to thank you for allowing me to spend time with them.
Gratefully Yours,
Pastor David

Join us in welcoming long-time missionaries Ruth and Ken Copsey this Sunday. Ruth will have a message for the children, then they both will be sharing briefly about their ministry in the Philippines. They want to thank Mayflower Church for our partnership with them through their thirty years of service for the Lord.
After church is over, everyone is invited to enjoy fellowship at a potluck lunch for the Copseys. If you are able to bring something, we suggest sandwiches or some kind of salad or fruit, or a dessert. There will be time for the Copseys to tell more about their work and for us to ask questions.

Wednesday nights is Family Night @ Mayflower. A time for the entire family of God at Mayflower to come together to love, to serve, to grow.
So how does it work? We'll share a meal and a song or two and then break off into our classes. There will be something for everyone.
The offerings include:
The Evening Rhythm starts with dinner at 6pm with classes ending between 8-8:45pm. Plan to join the Family at Mayflower on Wednesday Nights. For more information, contact Natali at the office, (831) 373-4705.
Please join us after worship this Sunday for the annual reports on the health of our church and for getting together with the Mayflower family over lunch. Bring a main dish or dessert if you like.
Our Dramarama Team of middle schoolers is having more fun than should be legal! And all the while, they are learning about God's Word and His plan and His love for us, while teaching our children about those things, too. How great is that? A week from this Sunday, they will present their next skit during Sunday school. This one is about the unusual way Jesus called some of his disciples, telling them that they would become "fishers of men." It features some enthusiastic TALKING FISH as they witness the amazing events! What a great day to invite your friends and acquaintances with children to visit our church.
Wouldn't you like to "Walk in the Light" with Jesus this February 24-26 at the beautiful and peaceful St. Francis Retreat Center? If you have never been, this can be an experience that will change your life. Don't miss it. Reserve your space soon! See or call PJ McCreary for details.
Starting the last Sunday in November there have been purple welcome and prayer cards inserted in the church bulletins. Pastor David, the Outreach Team, and Session have developed these inserts so that we might be intentional in the care of our family and friends by noting their presence or absence, and praying for their needs. The effectiveness of these welcome cards will be evaluated after December and adjusted as needed.
The Outreach Team encourages everyone to write your name(s) on this card each Sunday and place it in the collection plate during the offering.
In addition, use this card for prayer requests, inquiry about small groups and Bible study, and requests to Pastor David. Each name and every prayer request received are prayed over by the women's prayer team on Tuesday morning, and then the cards are passed along to Pastor David for additional requests.
Thank you for taking the time to write your name each Sunday to grow this valuable ministry at Mayflower.
